Kokua Nest / Aloha Room
Hawaii's Haleakala Bed and Breakfast is perched above Kona Town, on the Big Island, at the end of a private drive. The Holualoa mountain side elevation is the Kama'aina secret, perfect weather, lets you relax and comfortably sleep never to warm or cold. Your Kokua Nest private cottage with upstairs quarters sits apart from the main residence, surrounded by tropical gardens and situated to take advantage of the view. The vista from the private Lanai is of the Kona Coast above farms of Macadamia Nuts & Coffee and provides a view of the setting sun on the Blue Pacific Ocean. It includes a complete in-suite full shower with it's pebble floor, granite counters with twin sinks and private alcove for the commode. Tropical furnishings, Mood lighting, Mahogany trim and Hardwood floors make this a Hawaiian Paradise.
The Aloha room matches the Nest except on the ground floor with a slightly smaller scale and shares it's Lanai with the main residence. Enjoy the Spa, Pool or Outdoor Garden Shower. Sleep comfortably, here in Coffee Country 1000 feet above the beach in this quiet tropical setting on cooling breezes, never having to close off your private Lanai. Relax while the scent of tropical gardens quietly lull you to sleep with the fragrant smells of Plumeria, Hibiscus and Jasmine . Wake to the aroma of a smooth cup of coffee brewing on your deck .
Go exploring in Coffee country or Holualoa art galleries or just hit the beach, then come back to the Nest or Aloha, rest up and get ready for an evening out on Kona town.

- Directions: The drive is approximately 15 minutes from the Kona airport. From the airport exit, turn right toward Kona town, follow the Islands Belt Highway 11, straight on through Kona to Ha’ Awina Street, at milepost 0, and Junction to Highway 180, turn left. At the stop sign, turn left again on to Hwy 180 or “Mamalahoa Hwy” toward Holualoa Town. Look for our mailbox with numbers 786612-A, about a half mile down on the ocean side of the road. Haleakala is at the end of the private driveway it is the driveway between the two homes that front Mamalahoa Hwy. Feel free to call us at 808-322-6053 if you are concerned about the drive and we will come to meet you.

The Kokua Nest is a completely separate Cottage or Hale with a private entrance just slightly larger than the other with it's own private Lanai and more amenities like, TV and bar size refrigerator.
The Aloha Room also with it's private entrance is at ground level and shares it's Lanai with our main residence.
Both are beautifully furnished and have in suite master baths.
You will find Haleakala clean and inviting. - Rates
- Room Rates:
$170 per night with a 2 night minimum for the Kokua Nest Cottage or
$150 per night with a 2 night minimum for the Aloha Room. (Hawaii Room tax of 13.25% is added at booking.)
Stays of 7 nights or longer or if you are active military or law enforcement ask about our special 5% discount. Just confirm your ID at check in.
Reservations are made through Airbnb.com and require a minimum two night stay. A credit card is required to lock in your booking dates. The Kokua Nest Hale or Aloha Room is considered "sold" at that time.
Maximum of 2 guests per room, Queen Bed!
Adults only, we do not accept children.
This is a non smoking establishment, smoking is permitted only off grounds.
No pets please. - Breakfast
- Haleakala partnered with Splashers Grill in Kona and The Holuakoa Cafe in Holualoa to bring you the best Bed & Breakfast offering on the island. You can also choose the Holuakoa Cafe for a lighter breakfast that can start at 6:30AM or Splashers at 7AM for the full fare should you get up early and want to start a tour or an activity. All you have to do is bring our voucher and present it to your server. You will get the best breakfast and beverage on the island. (Gratuity is not Included.)
