My husband & I stayed 3 wonderful nights. If you want to get away from hussel this is the place to go! It is definitely off the beaten path....but worth the one lane road drive. All the ladies on the staff were a pleasure to be around & eager to accommodate us. The breakfast was always delicious & made with fresh local ingredients. My husband & I were always excited to see what they would make us every am. The B&B; also offers dinner & let me tell you amazing! We stayed in the private suite (Kaulana Akea)...it is off the main house & offers a private outdoor hot tub. The king size bed is very comfortable & sucks you into slumber. You will not have to set a alarm because the rooster will wake you....remember this place is very rural & nature is all around. This was our first visit to Hawaii....Waianahea made the experience perfect!- Navarre, Florida
Don't believe anyone who says this is not a family-oriented place! We just finished a 3-night stay with our toddler (3 years old) in the Kaulana Akea room, and we loved every minute of it! We were completely spoiled by the staff (Randy, Sonya, April) who are nothing but gracious, friendly and completely welcoming. It was the most relaxing experience my husband and I had in years and my son loved exploring frogs in the pond, dinosaurs in the forrest, free-roaming turkeys, and on and on. Amazing dinner the first night, 3 course breakfast each morning, beautiful countryside overlooking the ocean, and Honokaa town just down the hill. Absolutely perfect! We are from L.A. so I totally recommend this to anyone looking to completely escape from the big city. Definitely will be back.- Los Angeles, Califormia
